about meWho am I?
My name is Hannah Blazon and I am currently in my last quarter at Western Washington University. My major is Accounting/ Economics and I am minoring in Communication Studies. I always knew I wanted communication studies to be part of my education in college, as you can imagine my choice to be a Accounting/Economics major didn't come so easily. However, it just works at that it is the perfect combination for me. I'm able to bridge the gap in communication that is so often present in the accounting and finance world. I was born in Spokane, WA but I spent the majority of my childhood in Southern California: Port Hueneme, CA to be exact. My father was in the Air Force at the time so I spent approximately 10 years on a base in SoCal. I moved back to Cheney, WA, a small town outside of Spokane, when I was about to start 8th grade. I graduated high school in 2016 with one year of college, from running start, under my belt. Since then, I've absolutely loved my experience at Western and I'm sad to see it come to an end very soon. And despite changing my major 3-4 times, one thing has remained constant: a minor in communication studies. Why did I choose The Netherlands? In September 2018 I was able to go on my first international trip with my boyfriend, Connor. He has family in England, as his mother is from there, so we mainly went to visit (and for me to meet) some of his family. However, we did also go to Venice, Rome, and lastly Amsterdam. Amsterdam, one of the largest cities in The Netherlands, was my absolute favorite city I have ever visited. I don't really how to describe it other than it felt like home. I felt so comfortable there and it felt familiar to me despite the fact that I had never been. Needless to say, this experience has stuck with me and I can't wait to go back as soon as possible and that's why I chose to create this website all about The Netherlands. Below I have some pictures from when I was in Amsterdam! |
